NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Craig Fugate today delivered a lecture at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy for a course on emergency management—discussing the importance of coordination between federal partners and all levels of government in responding to disasters, and ways FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security is engaging the public in the nation’s preparedness and disaster response.
